About us

The Melbourne Climate Network is evolving. After several years of bringing together Melbourne’s climate-focused community, we are transitioning to operate solely as a digital resource platform that supports individuals and organisations driving climate action across our city and beyond.

This new direction allows us to focus on what we do best: curating high-quality information, insights and tools that help people stay informed, connected to opportunities, and empowered to contribute to a more sustainable and resilient Melbourne.

Our Purpose

We remain committed to accelerating climate action in Melbourne. While our work will no longer include in-person gatherings or facilitated networking events, our mission continues through a renewed emphasis on:

  • Digital knowledge sharing - on climate innovation, policy, funding, and community initiatives
  • Resource guides and curated content - that help people navigate Melbourne’s climate landscape
  • Profiles, case studies and stories - that spotlight local leaders and projects
  • Access to digital tools, frameworks and learning materials - for anyone looking to deepen their climate impact

our acknowledgement

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We acknowledge and honor the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future.
