Kapture launches pilot with Ampcontrol to cut emissions

Climate tech startup Kapture launches pilot with Ampcontrol to cut emissions from diesel generators.

Kapture launches pilot with Ampcontrol

Kapture has launched a commercial pilot with a Silent Partner and Ampcontrol to showcase its cutting-edge carbon capture technology integrated into a diesel generator.

The initiative seeks to demonstrate how industries can reduce carbon emissions without compromising operational efficiency, said Kapture CEO and co-founder Raj Bagri.

The pilot, set to take place in Perth over three months, represents a major step in addressing emissions from stationary diesel-powered equipment.

This sector remains a significant contributor to industrial carbon footprints worldwide. Kapture’s technology is designed to capture CO2 emissions at the source while allowing industries to maintain operations with their existing infrastructure.

According to Kapture, a confidential partner, whose identity is not being disclosed at this time, is playing a key role in the collaboration by providing strategic support to scale the technology for the power industry’s needs.

Ampcontrol, known for its expertise in energy solutions, will contribute technical knowledge and support throughout the trial.

Rod Henderson, managing director and CEO of Ampcontrol, underscored the importance of collaboration in advancing decarbonisation efforts.

“We’re committed to leading the global energy revolution and supporting customers and industry in their journey towards decarbonisation.”

He added, “Collaboration is key in helping to make net zero a reality, and we’re excited by the possibilities this pilot with Kapture and their Silent Partner may present.”

Raj Bagri, CEO of Kapture, highlighted the company’s commitment to delivering accessible decarbonisation solutions.

“We’re excited to work with our Silent Partner and Ampcontrol to demonstrate the commercial viability of our carbon capture solution. This commercial pilot highlights our commitment to delivering low-cost solutions that help industries decarbonise.”

“Kapture’s technology can be integrated directly into existing energy systems, capturing emissions without the need for extensive modifications.”

If successful, the pilot could pave the way for widespread adoption of Kapture’s technology across industries reliant on stationary diesel-powered equipment.

Diesel generators continue to be the number one back-up power sources from a wide range of industries.
