At the Melbourne Climate Network Work we have adopted the global framework for identifying climate tech solutions with HolonIQ's open taxonomy on Climate Tech.

There are 50 categories of climate tech divided into 10 sectors that we have used to identify Melbourne's best and brightest climate solutions:

  • Biosphere
  • Food Systems
  • Circular Economy
  • Data + Finance
  • Resources
  • Renewables
  • Storage & Distribution
  • Built Environment
  • Mobility

These categories are updated each year in light of new information and innovations. The 2023 Australia and New Zealand Climate Tech Top 100 featured many of Melbourne's Climate Solutions Providers including Allume, Hal Systems, JetCharge, Kite Magnetics, Relectrify, Great Wrap, Jupitor Ionics and we're looking forward to the next list featuring even more.
