Climate Salad's packed Melbourne Climate Tech Showcase

Climate Salad's Melbourne Climate Tech Showcase was a sell-out event with over 250 people, 30 pitches and 20 climate tech demonstrations!

Melbourne has a thriving climate tech ecosystem and that was on full disply at the Melbourne Climate Tech Showcase in June. 

Officially opening the showcase, Councillor Davydd Griffiths spoke to City of Melbourne’s commitment to climate innovation through the Melbourne Climate Network and how this industry led cluster will drive innovation while creating economic growth in commercially scalable climate solutions.

In terms of numbers:  

  • More than 250 people in attendance 

  • 26 climate tech pitches, 22 from Melbourne based solutions  

  • 20 climate tech demonstrations with 15 based in Melbourne 

  • 9 speakers, 8 Melbourne based ranging from climate investors, founders, and business leaders  

There was a wide variety of climate tech solutions on show, from alternative plant-based leather through to electrification of households, circular solutions for old textiles, through to behind the meter energy solutions. It's clear the sector is growing!
